I sense a disturbance in the force! On May 4th 2020, also popularly deemed Star Wars Day, Usaoply and Games Workshop announced a new themed version of Talisman that will be arriving in the Fall of 2020. Yes that is right, Star Wars Talisman!
I think like most people out there, this was completely wacky announcement and was completely unexpected. That being said, I don’t have a bad feeling about it. I think that this themed set could have some promise.
As of right now based on the release article form Usaopoly here is what the set will contain:
1 Custom Game Board
Encounter Cards
Force Cards
Market Cards
Character Cards
Sith Wayfinder Cards
Galactic Credit Chip Pieces
Stat Boards with Dials
6 Six-sided Dice
12 Custom Sculpted Character Pieces: Rey, Ahsoka Tano, Count Dooku, Darth Maul, Darth Vader, Ezra Bridger, Kylo Ren, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, Mace Windu, Grand Inquisitor, Seventh Sister
1 Rulebook
The game will allow for players to play as their favorite characters from the Star Wars series and will also allow players to play as either Jedi or Sith!
The game will play like like we have all known with regular Talisman, or Talisman Kingdom Hearts Edition. We truly will be saying “Never tell me the odds!” when rolling those six sided dice!
Talisman: Star Wars, which will release in Fall 2020, will be for 2-6 players, runtime of 90-120 minutes and will cost $59.99.
