Kickstarter Games You Should Know About May 2026
/We are back after a long hiatus of Kickstarter Games to have on your radar. We have a good set of games that are on the backing lists this May so let’s dive right in!
Blood Moon Pact
Blood Moon Pact is a murder mystery game created by Twist and Turn. Launched on May 8th 2026. The style follows a Jubensha style game (Jubensha, meaning "script murder," is a massively popular Chinese immersive murder mystery role-playing game that blends elements of LARP, theater, and tabletop investigation)
Currently at the time of writing, this game has 28 days left on the kickstarter.
The game is designed for 6 players and lasts around 4-5 hours, so plan for a full evening for this game to take place. The game is also designed for ages 16 and up.

Pirates and Plunder
Coming from the creators over at Kolbold Press comes Pirates and Plunder. Promising toolkits to build seafaring adventures full of treasure. Navel combat encounters, dangerous captian characters, naval battles and vast oceans to explore. This release also contains gun powder for use. For those familiar of DND’s Ghost of the Saltmarsh, this has some rules and ideas that can be used for TTRPG Games.
Here are some of the things that come with this Kickstarter:
8 Swashbuckling Subclasses, including the Shanty bard, the Privateer fighter, the Gunmage sorcerer, and the Seaborn witch.
3 Wave-touched Lineages. Behold the sharklike Sea Dragonborn, the rapscallion Ratfolk, and the return of the Deep Ones, dwellers of the abyssal depths.
4 Hearty Heritages. Shape your origins with stories like those of the Seafarer heritage, and make your life by wind and sail, or the Deep Folk heritage, a character born below the waves.
7 Freebooting Backgrounds. Prepare your heroes to face the storms and cannons with backgrounds that play into classic buccaneer tropes, including the trading skills of a Merchant Mariner, the blood code of a Pirate, or the keen eye might of a Treasure Hunter.
Detailed Guidance for Nautical-Based Backstories so each player can craft characters perfectly tuned to the havoc and peril of a pirate-themed campaign. With expert guidance, craft seafarers and cutthroats that play to genre tropes and develop morally gray heroes who run the edge between redemption and damnation.
New spells and rituals to battle the creatures of sea
Black Powder Rules. Wield pistols and rifles from the decks and shore, with the burst mechanic to deliver incredible damage to your foes.
New Shipwreck Escape Rules. Run for the top deck against the encroaching water or flame in chase-like mechanics to turn every sinking ship into an thrilling encounter.
25 Curses, Diseases and Hazards. New options to plague your players with a bounty of brine-marked hazards.
Expanded Ship Combat. Dust off the ship combat system from the Book of Blades with a host of fresh rules tailored to your campaign’s particular brand of daring-do.
5 Infamous Pirate Lords. Including the fiendish Dahul, the otter animal lord Admiral Halin, and the Dread Pirate Queen of the East.
20 Legendary Islands. Plot your course between Cyclopean Ruins, the Mechadron Lighthouse, and the fell Isle of the Dead.
Plus much more. Check out their Kickstarter here for more information or to back the project.

The Core Set includes 52 STL models designed to build a complete dark fantasy village above Black Water — not a random collection of files, but one connected playable location for DnD, tabletop RPGs, skirmish encounters, and grimdark storytelling.
